Chandanadi Lauha is a herbomineral Ayurvedic medicine. It is a Lauha Kalpa. Lauha kalpas are those medicines in which the chief ingredient is Loha or iron. For preparing Lauka Kalp the drugs are reduced to fine powder and mixed with Lauha Bhasma. Bhavana is given with prescribed liquids if mentioned.

Chandanadi Lauha gives relief in burning sensation and fever. It balances Pitta Dosha and is useful in diseases that occur due to vitiation of Pitta Dosha.

Uses of Chandanadi Lauha

  • Visham jvara (Intermittent fever)
  • Jirna jvara (Chronic fever)
  • Recurrent fever
  • Burning in eyes
  • Headaches
  • Diseases of spleen and liver
  • Pittaj Vikaar/diseases that occur due to excess Pitta

Dosage of Chandanadi Lauha

250 to 500 mg twice a day. It should be taken with Giloy Satva and honey for fever, and with Mishri and Butter in headache or as directed by physician.
