Raisins are dried form of grapes Vitis vinifera. These are sweet, tasty and very nutritious. You can eat it like a healthy snack. As a snack it supports appetite and helps in weight control. Although raisins are sweet but these do not contributes to dental cavities because of its antibacterial properties.

In 100 grams or 2/3 cup serving you get calories (300) with carbohydrate (79.2 gm), fiber (4 gms), protein (3 gm), potassium (750 mg), calcium (49 mg), copper (0.31 mg), magnesium (33 mg), manganese(0.31 mg), phosphorous ( 97 mg), sodium (12 mg), zinc (0.27 mg ), ascorbic acid (3.3 mg), vitamin B6 (0.25 mg),   sugar (60 gm) and iron (2 gm).
