Sutshekhar Ras is an ayurvedic medicine which contains minerals along with many herbs. It is prepared in two forms one with gold (swarnayukt) and other without gold (sada). The formulation for both variations is same. Sutshekhar Ras is herbomineral medicine with mercury, sulphur, copper, borax and herbs. Such medicines are known as ras rasayan in ayurveda. Herbs and purified minerals are mixed and exact doses are prepared in form of pills.
Ingredients:
Purified mercury, purified sulfur, Borax, Tamra (Copper) Bhasma, Sunthi (Zingiber officinale), Vatsanabh, Tamalpatra, Naagkeshar, Shankh Bhasma, Bilva or Bael
Therapeutic use:
- Hyperacidity
- Vomiting
- Chronic obstructive jaundice
- Cough
- Malabsorption syndrome
- Diarrhoea
Dosage:
125 mg to 250 mg twice a day with honey (3 gm) and desi ghee(1.5 gm). Honey and ghee should not be in equal quantities.
