Khus Sharbat/Syrup is a cool, sweet, refreshing and tasty drink. This green colour drink is diuretic, soothing and cooling in nature. Khus Sharbat is prepared from root extract of khus plant. Khas Khas, Khas, Khus or Vetiveria zizanioidesis is a dense grass, found throughout the plains and lower hills of India, particularly on the riverbanks and in rich marshy soil.
The roots of the plant has refrigerant (cooling), febrifuge (reduces fever), diaphoretic (cause increased perspiration), stimulant (improvements in either mental or physical functions), stomachic (stimulating digestion in the stomach), antispasmodic (suppresses muscle spasms), emmenagogue (stimulate blood flow in the pelvic area), astringent and blood purifying properties.
