Mriga madasava is poly-herbal Ayurvedic medicine. This medicine is referenced from Bhaishajyaratnavali, and is indicated in jwara rogadhikar/ for treatment of fever. The preparation of this medicine involves dissolving herbs in specially prepared alcohol known as Mritasanjivani sura or in Rectified spirit. Rectified spirit or ethyl alcohol contains 95% alcohol by volume. Therefore dosage of this medicine is just few drops with water.
Mrigamadasava is especially effective medicine in treatment of cholera or Haija.

Uses of Mrigamadasava
- Gastro-enteritis with piercing pain
- Hiccups
- Sannipata Jvara or High grade fever due to vitiation of all dosha
- Kapha dominated Sannipata such as pneumonia, bronchitis, respiratory illness
Dosage of Mrigamadasava
10-15 drops with 15 ml water or with sugar/batasha.
