Coriander leaves

Chemical found in fresh coriander leaves are antibacterial in nature. It is very good source of of Vitamin C, A and great source of antioxidants. It is very helpful in joint pains. It will remove swelling of body joints and stops production of biochemical in body which are responsible for join swelling.

Coriander seeds

It is very effective in treatment of pain in eyes, Throat pain, Joint pain due to excessive heat in body.

Cloves

This condiment helps fight toothache, and as a result, features in toothpastes. Dab a little clove oil on a cotton swab and put it on the aching tooth.

Ginger

Ginger isn’t just for sore throat and upset stomach; it contains rich inflammation-fighting compounds which soothe sore muscles. The recommended dosage of ginger is 500 to 1,000 milligrams a day.

Turmeric

While talking about home-remedies, there is no way we can forget turmeric. Turmeric is a more effective anti-inflammatory than steroids. This is mainly because of curcumin in turmeric which suppresses pain with similar mechanism as some of the painkillers.

Walnuts

Don’t be surprised to find walnuts on our list. The high amount of Omega-3 in walnuts does the same thing as salmon. So if you don’t eat salmon, here is your alternative.

Flax seeds Flax seeds have a lot of fatty acids which help in pain relief. Cooking in flax seed oil on the other hand is not advisable as it has opposite effect and can cause irritation and pain.

Garlic

This pungent spice has been known to be a painkiller since centuries. Apply it on a skin rash or heat it with a tablespoon of olive oil and apply on the aching joints.

Oranges

While vitamin C has been linked to helping prevent the onset of colds and respiratory infections, an antioxidant called beta-cryptoxanthin, found in oranges and other orange fruits and veggies such as sweet potato and cantaloupe, has been found to help reduce the risk of anti-inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis [12]. Another reason to get out that juicer and start making fresh OJ each day. (Or, you know, just eat an orange.)

Grapes

A cup of grapes, eaten daily, can help relieve your backache. These fruits contain nutrients that increase blood circulation to the lower back, reducing the pain.
