Kanaka Tailam is an Ayurvedic medicated oil. The ingredients used for making this oil are decoction of yastimadhu and paste of priyangu, manjistha, chandan, utpala and nagkesara. This oil is excellent for improving complexion of face, treating acne and skin diseases.

Key Ingredients of Kanaka Taila

Mulethi(Glycyrhiza glabra Root) 768 grams, Water for decoction 3.072 litre, reduced to 768 ml, Til Taila( Sesame oil) 192 grams,

Each 6.4 grams:Priyangu flower(Callicarpa macrophylla), Manjishta root(Rubia cordifolia), Chandana wood(Pterocarpus santalinus), Utpala flower(Nymphaea Caerulea), Nagakeshara(Mesua ferrea)

Uses of Kanaka Taila

This medicated oil is also used for Abhyanga (the application of herbal oils to the body and its subsequent absorption into the body), Vyanga (the disease which decreases the glowing complexion of face and affects the skin), Mukha Roga (Disease of mouth), Mole, and Pigmentation disorder.

Its topical application lightens dark circles under the eyes, improves texture of skin and acts as a moisturizer.

This oil is also used for Nasya (nasal administration of few drops).

How to use Kanaka Taila

Kanaka Taila is for external use only. Few ml of oil should be applied and massaged on affected areas.
