Casein proteins are commonly found in mammalian milk, making up 80% of the proteins in cow milk. Casein supplies amino acids, carbohydrates and the two inorganic elements calcium and phosphorus as food.
Casein has ability to form a gel or clot in the stomach, which makes it very efficient in nutrient supply. The clot is able to provide a sustained slow release of amino acids into the blood stream, lasting for several hours. Casein protein constitutes 80% of milk protein. It is recognized for its excellent amino acid content, slow-digestion, and anti-catabolic effect. It should be used at meals (can be combined with other proteins) and at bedtime. It should not be used when trying to accelerate amino acid absorption. For fast absorption of protein whey protein is best.
Many people mix these supplement like after or before work out they use whey protein and at bead time they use casein protein supplements.
