Vomiting and nausea is very common thing adn may be caused by many stomach problems, pregnancy and drugs. Most of the vomiting can be treated with cardamom as it is used since very long time in Ayurvedic medicine system.
Vomiting is the oral expulsion of upper gastrointestinal contents resulting from contractions of the gut. There are many causes for vomiting. The causes of vomiting includes indigestion, gastrointestinal infection, worm infestation, diverse and include gastritis, gastrointestinal infection, worm infestation, obstruction in the gastrointestinal tract, inflammatory diseases of abdominal organs, myocardial infarction, raised intracranial pressure, motion sickness, pregnancy, uraemia, drugs etc.
Cardamom is one of the common spices found in almost every Indian kitchen and used in many home remedies to treat various health problems as well as for omitting, nausea, stomach problem.

How to prepare cardamom ?
Take 10 grams of cardamom seeds and make sure not older than 1 year. Make fine powder using clean mortar. Keep this powder in small air tight bottle.
Dose and Uses details
- 250 mg to 500 mg(about 3-4 pinches) for adults and 60 mg -120 mg(1-2 pinch) for children. Take this powder along with warm water, honey empty stomach before 30 min eating meal.
- For vomiting and nausea it is better to swallow it with water or with some syrup.
- For treating vomiting due to indigestion, gastritis, pregnancy and high levels of blood urea in kidney failure, Take cardamom by making concoction. Concoction can be made by adding 2.5-5 gm powder to 30 ml warm water and kept is for 30 minutes. Filter this liquid and give 5-10 ml in regular intervals in a days.
This should not be given if omitting drastic and in this case patient should treated with proper medicine by some doctor.
