Mahatikta ghrita is poly-herbal, medicated Ayurvedic ghee. It is alterative and tonic for health. Mahatikta ghrita is indicated in various diseases. Its use gives relief in boil, rashes, pus discharge and similar skin diseases. Mahatikta ghrita is also prescribed in treatment of hyperacidity, jaundice, vaat-rakta or gout, chronic fever and bleeding piles.
Ingredients of Mahatikta ghrita
1 tola each of Saptaparn bark, Atees, Amaltas bark or pulp, Katuki, Patha, Nagarmotha. Khus, Triphala, Patol or Parval leaves, Neem Bark, Pittapapda, Dhamasa, Rakta Chandan, Choti Pippal, Padmakh, Haldi, Daruuhaldi, Bach, Idrayan root, Shatavar, Anantmool, Vasa, Kutaj bark, Javasa, Murva, Giloy, Chirayata, Mulheti, Trimana. Gau Ghrita 128 tola, Amla juice 256 ml, water 1024 tola.

- Bleeding piles, hyperacidity
- Anaemia, tuberculosis, jaundice
- Chronic fever
Dosage of Mahatikta ghrita
3-10 gms with warm milk or water twice a day, for 2 months or as directed by physician. Avoid salt, spices, chili, and oil during treatment.
